Personal Loan Comparison Worksheet

Line up three written personal loan offers. Copy each figure from the disclosure itself: the cash you would receive, the APR the provider disclosed, the payment, how many payments, and the total that document says you would repay.

What you type stays in this browser. GameBank never receives these entries, and this sheet is not a credit application. Leave out Social Security numbers, bank logins, and account numbers.

Copy the disclosure, not the advertisement

A banner rate or a quote you heard on the phone is not the source to type. Use the written disclosure for that offer. When every payment is the same amount, the line under the fields multiplies the scheduled payment by the number of payments. That product is arithmetic. It is not an APR, and it does not check the provider's math.

Offer A

Equal-payment total: enter a payment and a count.

Offer B

Equal-payment total: enter a payment and a count.

Offer C

Equal-payment total: enter a payment and a count.

How to read the three columns

  • Amount borrowed versus cash you actually receive. If the cash is lower, the disclosure should show where the difference went, often a fee taken from the proceeds. Confirm that line in the document.
  • Disclosed APR. Type the figure the provider printed. This page does not compute an APR and does not say which APR is available to you.
  • Scheduled payment and number of equal payments. Use the equal-payment total only when the document shows the same payment each time. Skip it when a payment changes, a final payment is different, or the note has a balloon.
  • Total repayment shown in the disclosure. Put that printed total next to the equal-payment total. If they disagree, ask the provider why before you sign. The gap can be a fee, an uneven last payment, or a number you mistyped.
  • Lender or provider name. Use the legal name on the disclosure, not the name in a text message.

Nothing on this sheet is an offer from GameBank. GameBank is a request and referral service, not a lender. The sheet does not pull credit, does not check that an offer is real, and does not say you will be approved or funded. The provider's final written disclosures control.
